2006– Habitat
for Humanity
Farmington, MN
Active Humanitarian
· I
served in Mexico during the summer with
Habitat for Humanity, building houses and giving aid however possible to those who are less fortunate. I feel that this shows my deep desire to help others and my willingness to do whatever it takes to help
create a better world.
Spring 2008- Science Fair Judge
Farmington, NM
· I
helped judge the science fair at Apache Elementary this last spring. I am very excited about getting involved in any extracurricular
activities that are available. I believe this helps get children excited about
education in a global way.
Fall
2008- Current Student Teaching
Farmington, NM
· I
am currently student teaching at Animas Elementary in Farmington, NM. I am teaching fifth grade. At this point, I have taken over full time and I am loving it. The
children are fantastic, and I feel like I have been given a glimpse of how wonderful teaching children can be. |

I enjoy singing
and composing music. I love to paint, do pottery, sketch, and create any type
of art that presents itself to me. I hope to continue my education by pursuing
an Art Education Masters. I would like to incorporate my love for the arts in
my teaching as much as possible. |

I have been an active member of Amnesty International
in the past. I have also been involved with Habitat for Humanity. Since I can remember, I have worked with children many times helping with my parents’ church in Las Vegas, NM. During Christmas I carol at the New Mexico State
Hospital and the North
Easter Regional Hospital. |
