Course Reflection

This was a really fun class! I felt like I was able to really get my hands in there and work with the students first hand on what I was being taught.  I also enjoyed the text thoroughly and loved the Join In book as well.  I learned a lot about how underepresented certain ethic groups are in literature.  This was shocking to me! My bag of tricks for teaching expanded as I read from the text about how to teach second language learners, or any child for that matter.  I would have liked to have some more scheduled meeting for the discussion of the Join In book.  I know this semester started off kind of strange with scheduling, though, so it's no biggie!  I'm not sure how I am supposed to estimate evaluation in terms of grade.  I am taking that as I am giving this class a grade.  I would estimate it at an "A."  It taught so many things and gave real-life experience to the theory and made it meaningful.
